Back in the 1980s, Gen Zia had commissioned a group of scientists and physicists to work on several issues like measuring the temperature of hell and finding out the chemical nature of djinns and if they could be captured to make them work on running power turbines and other labour-oriented projects. Decades later, we have another religious extremist in our neighbour who has also risen to the top and is calling the shots. Following the footsteps of Zia, Narendra Modi has recently surprised attendees of the Indian Science Conference-2015. He didn’t ask scientists to work on certain projects, instead he went one step ahead of Zia and informed the gathering of the hidden miracles of ancient India.
He told the delegates that Ganesha is in fact proof of human body parts implantation during the ancient times. To support Modi’s views about supernatural India, two so-called researchers highlighted the presence of aviation technology when deities used to travel across India and beyond in seconds. There is a limit on imagination but perhaps extremists are now crossing that limit as well. No one can help them come out of their fantasy world.
