‘PPP to sweep 2018 elections’
CHITRAL: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) local leader Sultan Wazir on Friday claimed that his party would emerge victorious in the next general election.
“The PPP will win the one national and two provincial assembly seats in Chitral,” he told reporters here.
Felicitating the newly elected office-bearers of PPP, he said that the party’s provincial president Humayun Khan and general secretary Faisal Karim Kundi would re-organise the party at the grassroots.
He said that Humayun Khan and Faisal Karim Kundi were capable of rejuvenating the party throughout the province. He added that PPP would secure victory in the next general election.
“I have visited every nook and corner of Chitral. Keeping in view the enthusiasm of the PPP workers, I am sure the party will show good results in the next polls,” he maintained.
Sultan Wazir, a former bureaucrat, said that the PPP could steer the country out of the prevailing morass.
“The Pakistan Muslim League-led federal government has failed to come up to the expectations of the people. PPP being the largest political party can work for the development of the country,” he added.
