Railways to set up office in Gwadar

Pakistan Railways has decided to establish a sub-divisional office in Gwadar.
Railways Federal Minster Kh Saad Rafique chaired a meeting at Railways Headquarters, Lahore, for railway link with Gwadar Port for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Saad said the project must be foolproof as the standards of the high profile project would not be compromised. Moreover, a sub-divisional office would be established in Gwadar. Double track and auto block system would be introduced in the project, he said. Manned and unmanned level crossings should be secured at any cost, he said. He formed a committee which would prepare report to secure the crossings. Ijaz Husain, consultant of Gwadar Project formulation, with other four members briefed the meeting on the feasibility study’s current situation with regard to new link from Gwadar, Basima, Mastaung, Basima to Khuzdar.
