HARIPUR: The employees of the University of Haripur continued their protest for the fifth consecutive day on Friday.
About 70 employees, including teachers and administrative staff, went on a token strike on Wednesday against the alleged violation of Universities Act.They held negotiations twice with the vice-chancellor but the talks failed.
The teachers boycott duties for a token period of two hours daily. However, from Friday they went on complete strike and vowed to continue it till acceptance of demands. The protesters gathered outside the administration block of the university and later took round of different departments, chanting slogans in favour of their demands.The protesters carried placards and chanted slogans against the vice-chancellor outside his office.
