PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended a station house officer (SHO) and investigation officer on faulty investigation in a murder case and ordered departmental inquiry against them.
A citizen of Oghi in Mansehra district complained to the Inspector General of Police that innocent persons were nominated by the investigation officer of Oghi Police Station Inspector Jehanzeb Khan and SHO Muhammad Javed Khan.
The Inspector General of Police verified the complaint through senior police officers who termed the complaint based on facts and correct, said a communiqué. The Inspector General of Police suspended the Station House Officer and investigation officer and directed DIG enquiry and inspection to hold departmental inquiry and submit report for further strict action against them at the earliest.
