ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has spent a historical period and the post of COAS should be given to the senior-most officer of Pakistan Army and a senior officer should be appointed Chairman Joints Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC).
The opposition leader in a statement and during an interview said that COAS Raheel Sharif had faced several challenges and was leaving the post honourably. He would be considered one of the non-controversial army heads, Shah added.
Lauding the services of the COAS, Khursheed Shah said, “I always appreciated Raheel Sharif’s way of command and I wish general should continue his services for nation through any means.”
