PESHAWAR: The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) organised a train trip from Peshawar to Attock in collaboration with the Pakistan Railways.

The participants of the tour included women, children, youth, photographers and media persons.  The train trip was arranged by TCKP from Peshawar and took participants through the old Victorian Railway station built in 1880 at Attock Khurd.

Member Provincial Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary Fauzia Bibi was the chief guest and part of the train journey.  As part of the joy ride, passengers were greatly amused with live instrumental music on this joyful excursion.

A number of fun-filled recreational activities were also arranged at the river bank like kite-flying, camel-ride, tug-of-war, uphill race and archery. Attock Khurd, located in Attock district of Punjab, houses the historical Attock Fort built by the Mughals in 1581.

Behram ki dari is another Mughal-era monument situated at the ridge of mountains on the southern side of the Grand Trunk Road near Attock Khurd. The next such tour has been planned for December 3.
