The Sindh Police Service Commission (SPSC) is responsible for ensuring transparency in its recruitment process. But, has the commission been able to carry out this purpose immaculately? It is quite unfortunate that, instead of ensuring merit and transparency, it has succumbed to corruption and favouritism.
The Supreme Court’s recent action against the SPSC indicates that the commission has long been in the state of disarray. The Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE) were held in 2013. It has almost been four years now but the recruitment process hasn’t started to date. How long should students wait further? And what should future aspirants conclude from this situation? Should they prepare for tests likely to be taken by the commission or go for other choice? If so, what is the need of conducting such tests which are manipulated to gain desired results?
