Not in exile, will be back soon: Zardari
Says Imran a stubborn child crying for
moonlight; has strong desire to become PM;
PTI chief wants to hit sixer on each ball
DUBAI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday said that he had not been in exile and would be back in Pakistan in a few weeks.
The former president was talking to Hamid Mir in Geo News show ‘Capital Talk’ and responded to the host’s question about his return to Pakistan.“Democracy’s evolution will be in parliament not in the Supreme Court (SC),” commented Zardari on a question related to the PanamaLeaks case in the apex court.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan acted like a stubborn child and was crying for the moonlight as he had a great desire to become the prime minister but wishes never came true this way.
“Imran wants to hit a sixer on every ball and thus wickets have to be bowled out,” said Zardari. He said that the PTI chief had taken the matter of PanamaLeaks to the SC, but what would happen when the apex court’s commission also failed to give results.
When Hamid Mir asked Zardari why Imran Khan praised Aitzaz Ahsan but criticised him, the PPP leader mockingly said that the PTI chief desired the ‘prime-ministership’.While responding to a question regarding Karachi’s garbage issue, he said that residents of the city would hear good news soon. “A contract has been signed with a Chinesewith a Chinese company and work will start soon,” said Zardari.
Zardari’s detailed interview will be aired on Geo News’ ‘Capital Talk’ on Monday 8:05pm. Zardari will discuss the topic of PanamaLeaks and recent developments taking place on the political horizon of the country.
