BISHAM: Advisor to Prime Minister Amir Muqam on Saturday said Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had finally admitted the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“We welcome the statement of the chief minister regarding the importance of CPEC for the entire region,” he said while talking to reporters in Shangla.He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was an integral part of CPEC and western route was its part and parcel.
Amir Muqam said that Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal had assured the chief minister that the western route existed and it was part of the mega project.
He said the low voltage problem in Shangla would be solved after the establishment of two new grid stations in the district.He said the people of Shangla would benefit from the Alai Khwar powerhouse. He added that 30 kilometres long transmission line had been sanctioned from Bisham to Kotki grid station.
Amir Muqam also announced the establishment of two sub-offices of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company in Martung and Chakesar to facilitate the local population.
