Universal Children Day with orphans

Islamabad: Asmaan Foundation observed Universal Children Day here on Sunday with the orphans living in Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam, Rawalpindi, with theme ‘Let’s stand together for the future of Pakistan’.

Healthy activities for the children were organised to encourage them to take part in competition. CEO Asmaan Foundation Hammad Khan and the members from civil society also attended the event.

While addressing the event CEO Asmaan Foundation Hammad Khan said children are future of our country and we have to take care of them if we really want to see our country in the list of developed countries.

He said everyone including parents, teachers, doctors, religious and political leaders can play an important for supporting the orphans living nearby their areas. These children needs especial attention of the society because otherwise they will chose wrong ways for their survivals.

M Aslam Khan, Camps Manager Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam, Rawalpindi, appreciated the initiative of Asmaan Foundation to observe Universal Children Day with most deserving children. He said we call this place ‘Apna Ghar’ and we are trying our best to provide the environment like their homes to these children.

General Secretary Asmaan Foundation Shoaib Rana said that children are future of Pakistan and if we want to make our future bright we need to give proper attention to the children.

The United Nation’s Universal Children’s Day was established in 1954 and is celebrated on November 20th each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare.
