American Muslims
By our correspondents
November 20, 2016
Ever since the election campaign started in the US, American Muslims become worried for their future in the country. Now that Trump has become the president of the US, American Muslims have been in the state of distress. Their concerns are reasonable. Donald Trump has openly supported the proposal of banning Muslims from entering the US. One can now only hope that government policies will not let Trump practice the extreme racism he advertised during his campaigns.
Indeed, American Muslims are living in fear. Hate crimes against Muslims have increased by 87.5 percent since the announcement of Trump’s victory. The situation may turn worse once Trump takes over the White House.
