The Sindh High Court chief justice laid the foundation stone for judicial officers’ apartments in Bath Island on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah said judges’ apartments adjacent to the Sindh judicial academy was a dream which seemed to be coming true. He said the apartments would facilitate under-training judges.
He said the Sindh judicial academy was considered the best in the country and after the establishment of judicial officers’ apartments, more facilities could be provided to the under-training judges.
Eighty apartments would be constructed with the support of the law ministry. Of these, 56 apartments will be used for by under-training judicial officers and 24 by additional district and sessions judges.
The project worth Rs540 million will be completed by the works and service department. SHC judges, judicial officers and bar representatives attended the ceremony.
