Says no danger to PML-N govt

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e- Islam (Fazl) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday advised people to wait as the consultative process on the appointment for the slot of new chief of the army staff (COAS) had been completed. Talking to the media on Friday in Islamabad, the JUI-F chief said that itwas the right of every citizen to protest for their demands but the politics of rioting would cause a great loss to the country adding that protests would not pose a threat to the government. Talking about the Panama Leaks case, he said that this matter is subjudice and should be left to the court. He said that visit of Turkish president remained successful and historical but it was a matter of grave concern and sorrow that no province of the country, except Punjab, invited the Turkish president.Maulana Fazl said that people have witnessed the performance of PTI’s government in KP and expressed the hope that in 2018, the JUI-F would form the government in coalition with PML-N in KP and would clean sweep in the upcoming general polls. He said that there was no danger to the PML-N government adding that in 2018, the PML-N and JUI-F would form the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said Imran Khan seeks resignations fromothers but the PTI government in KP got a loan from the World Bank. He said that the PTI MNAs and MPAs used to meet him and complain about Imran Khan and other party leaders. He said that two NGOs were running the affairs of the KP government. Fazl said that the government and the army have completed consultation on the appointment of the new chief of the army staff, which would be announced at an appropriate time. He said that the institutions should be strengthened.— Online/INP
