ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday sought Joint Investigation Team’s report in citizen’s missing case and adjourned hearing till December 2. Justice Athar Minallah heard the case filed by a Ms Mahera Sajid against the disappearance of his husband Sajid Mehmood from Islamabad in March 2016.
During the proceedings the bench asked what action was taken by IGP Islamabad against the Station House Officer (SHO) of the concerned police station for delay in registration of first information report (FIR).
Counsel for the petitioner Sidra Imtiaz Haider Advocate argued that after the missing of Sajid Mehmood it was the responsibility of the government to bear monthly expenditures of victim family. She said that the police have registered the FIR after four month of the incident.
Standing Counsel Khawaja Imtiaz requested the court to grant time for preparations regarding the case which was accepted by the court. The court adjourned hearing of the case till December 2.
