BVH staffer nabbed for spurious blood

BAHAWALPUR: EDO Health Dr Shahid Khaleeq and Multan Quality Control Board Ahsan Loother caught red-handed a staffer of BVH Blood Bank for preparing spurious blood and selling it to poor patients with the connivance of other officials.
The accused identified as Azhar was handed over to security guards who freed him. On the orders of the EDO Health, BVH Deputy MS Dr Rao Javed Akhtar handed over Guard Ramzan and blood bank staffer Azhar to police for interrogation. Talking to The News, EDO Health Dr Shahid Khaleeq said that they had been monitoring the BVH Blood Bank for the last several weeks. He said it was pity that the guards released the culprit without consulting any official.
