MANSEHRA The inaugural ceremony of Suki Kanari Hydropower Project, which was scheduled to be held in Balakot today (Friday), has been postponed because of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s engagements in the federal capital.“The prime minister, who was due here to inaugurate dam, has postponed his visit. A new date would be announced soon,” Iqbal Hussain, Mansehra deputy commissioner, told reporters on Thursday.The 800 MW Suki Kanari Hydropower Project is being built at Kunhar River in Kaghan valley under multi-billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The survey of the dam has already been completed and the premier was due in Balakot to inaugurate the power project but he postponed his visit here because of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan presence in the federal capital.
