CHARSADDA: A jirga on Thursday recovered a donated piece of land for a graveyard from the alleged land grabbers after successful mediation.
The jirga comprising local elders and notables was active for quite some time to settle the dispute. The alleged land grabbers had constructed markets on the land of the Chara Jore graveyard in Tangi area in the district.
The jirga members including Faizul Amin, Yasir Khan, Ahmad Yar and others said that the influential persons had grabbed the graveyard land. They said that the matter was resolved amicably and the land was reclaimed from the land grabbers.
