28% thalassaemia patients getting free treatment
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has been providing free medical treatment and medicines to 28 per cent of total thalassaemia patients in Pakistan.
Besides Pakistan thalassaemia Centre (PTC) has also been providing and accommodating poor thalassaemia patients across the country.
Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Bait ul Mal Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh highlighted government s commitment for taking every possible measure regarding treatment and prevention of thalassaemia Disease while representing Pakistan in an International Conference at Jordan.
The conference was organized by thalassaemia International Federal in collaboration with Jordanian thalassaemia & Hemophilia Society and Ministry of Health of Jordan a message received here on Monday from Jordan said.
Earlier in his welcome note President Thalassemia International Federation Panos Englezos appreciated Managing Director PBM for introducing state of the art medical and diagnostic facilities to the poor thalassaemia patients in Pakistan.
