Two-day moot at BZU from 15th

MULTAN: The Bahauddin Zakariya University’s Department of Sociology will organise its first national conference on emerging trends and challenges in social sciences on November 15 and 16 at the university’s Jinnah Auditorium.
Talking to The News here on Friday, Assistant Prof Imtiaz Warriach said that the conference would cover diverse aspects of the society. He said that the conference would serve as a platform for presenting new knowledge insights, charting new directions, promoting innovation in research policy and nurturing new academic partnerships.
He said that research papers on the role of social sciences in combating terrorism would be presented during the conference.
AIOU Islamabad Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Prof Dr Syed Abdul Siraj, University of Karachi’s Department of Criminology Chairman Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat, Islamabad International Islamic University Prof Dr Mansoor Akbar Kundi, Prof Dr Saima Sheikh, BZU Department of Applied Psychology Chairperson Prof Dr Sarwat Ali, Prof Khalid Saeed and others would address it.
