OKARA: Some 1,032 lawyers would elect the District Bar Association (DBA) body for the year 2015 on January 10, 2015.
Some 17 candidates, including two woman lawyers, have submitted their nomination papers.
Advocates Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam Javaid and Chaudhry Shahid Mehmood are contesting for the slot of president, Rai Muhammad Imran Jazab Kharl and Kharlzada Shafqat Akbar senior vice president, Miss Samreen Iqbal and Mian Nisar Ahmad vice president, Rao Abid Mushtaq and Chaudhry Shukat Ali Chaddar secretary general, Chaudhry Sarfaraz Ashraf Ranjha and Rana Ejaz Yousaf Sulehria joint secretary, Muhammad Zafar Shabab, Fahim Javaid and Miss Nasreen Akhtar finance secretary, Muhammad Azeem Rana and Zulfiqar Ali Khokhar library secretary and Rai Khadim Hussain and Usman Rasool for the slot of office Auditor.
