Keeping up with an earlier collaboration with Stanford University (SU), Habib University (HU) has signed yet another pact with SU to expand academic horizons by including faculty exchange and research programs at the Stanford Global Studies Division in northern California, United States.
The agreement was signed by HU, President, Wasif Rizvi and Jeremy M. Weinstein, William Fisher Family Director, Stanford Global Studies Division.
“Building on a previous arrangement with Stanford University – under which students from Habib are facilitated in attending the eight-week Stanford Summer International Honors Programme hosted by Stanford each summer — HU has signed a new agreement with the varsity to explore possibilities of joint research, academic cooperation and faculty and student mobility,” said Rizvi.
He also said that this collaboration has aided HU in designing an improved undergraduate programme and has also opened new avenues for scholars to broaden their expertise as the initiative focuses on critically important regions and themes in present age: “Under the agreement, Habib and Stanford will also facilitate students who wish to research or study in the archaeological and environmental programme of either institution.”
