Iqbal Day celebrated

Rawalpindi: The children of the Aghosh Homes Rawalpindi, a welfare project of Al-Khidmat Foundation for orphans celebrated 139th birthday of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal by organising a colourful ceremony. The children registered full participation in the function and recited poetry of poet of the East at ‘Mushaira’ which was followed by tableaus and national songs. Brigadier (r) Sarwar Naveed who was chief guest on the occasion, said there was need to understand message which Allama Iqbal conveyed through his poetry particularly to the Muslim Ummah and the young generation. Administrator Aghosh Homes Rawalpindi Bilal Saeed and other staff members also attended the event.
