Trump and Muslims

By our correspondents

Republicans are famous for holding grudges against Muslims. This is unfavourable for Pakistan. According to a few analysts, Pakistan may have tough times now that Donald Trump has become president. The US is a world power and tense relations with the country are not in the best interest of Pakistan.

Given the hate Trump had shown for Muslims during his election campaign one can only hope that as a president, Trump will show sensibility and have friendly relations with Pakistan.

The hate speech that Donald Trump made during his campaign has raised doubts over the future of immigrants in the US now that Trump has become president. Although a lot of people may support Trump and his racism, this shouldn’t be the personality trait of the leader of a country. During his campaign, he used quite offensive words against Muslims. He provoked the public to report against Muslims on the grounds that they spread violence. He also suggested a ban on the entry of Muslims in the US.

Does this mean that the Muslim community of the US is in danger? Will the community be made to leave the country? This situation of fear and doubt is not good and Trump should not have become the president of the US. It is sad to see that the US is in the hands of such man.
