2 labourers die in wall collapse

SIALKOT: Two labourers died while another was injured when a wall of a building collapsed at Lahai Bazaar on Saturday.
Some labourers were busy working in a building of Abdul Shakoor when suddenly a wall of an adjoining building collapsed during digging. As a result, Muhammad Ejaz and Muhammad Bashir died on the spot while Allah Bakhsh sustained injuries. Rescue 1122 staff shifted the injured to a local hospital. Later, TMA Administrator Umar Sher Chattha told media that a three-member inquiry committee headed by TMO Zafar Qureshi had been formed to probe into the incident. He said that the committee would submit the report within two days. Meanwhile, Kotwali police SHO Asghar Ali told that no application for any legal action against the owner/builder of the building had been received so far from the families of both killed labourers. He said that necessary legal action would be taken as soon as any application received in this regard.
