Desperate measures

This refers to the article ‘A big fuss’ (Nov 5), by Iftekhar A Khan. The writer has condemned Imran Khan’s initiative of staging a protest against the government as it would have caused inconvenience to daily-wagers, students, patients and doctors, traders and commuters to Islamabad and others. However, the country is already entangled in corruption and bad governance. This has resulted in the stunted growth of the country.
If a nation doesn’t have the ability to deal with deferred gratification, it would never see better times. If a lockdown of the capital offers the hope of betterment of the country, it’s worth it.
