Khassadar killed in Jamrud attack

JAMRUD: One Khassadar was killed and two others sustained injuries in a clash with militants in Takhta Baig area in Jamrud tehsil on Saturday.

The sources said that the militants opened fire on the Khassadar personnel late in the night, triggering a gunbattle that continued for a while.

They said that one Khassadar identified as Shahid was killed and two others sustained injures. The militants escaped after the exchange of fire.

Boy killed in Nowshera accident: An Afghan national was killed when a vehicle hit him on Grand Trunk road near Suryakhel here on Saturday, official sources said. Muhammad Zaboor reported to the police that he along with his 13-year old brother Noorullah was crossing GT road near Suryakhel when a speeding vehicle struck his brother, killing him on the spot.
