IGP lauds Attock police

Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has lauded the commitment of Attock police for their gallantry role in impeding 'miscreants.' 

The IGP said Attock police deserved praise for maintaining law and order to protect the integrity of the country. He directed Attock  DPO Zahid Nawaz Marwat to give priority to the welfare of the police officials and improve hygienic condition of the police lines by improving facilities of mess, barber shop, recreation room and gym. He sought a summary for the funds required in this matter so that funds could be provided on priority basis.

He said, "we are proud that we are part of a force which has a legacy of more than 700 martyrs and given a lot of sacrifices for protection of citizens and to maintain law and order."

The IGP expressed the hope that Punjab Police would leave no stone unturned to make sure the protection of the country and the nation. The IGP stated this while addressing the Police Darbar held at Attock Police Lines on Saturday.

The Attock DPO, while presenting welcome address, said that it was the foremost priority of the police to ensure safety of lives, property and honour of the citizens. He said Punjab Police was working day and night to achieve this goal.

He said Jawans of Punjab Police were thankful to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera for taking important measures to strengthen Punjab Police for meeting the challenges of the modern era and for taking initiatives for welfare of the police force.

He said the steps of upgrading pay scales of police officials, increasing financial support package to 10 million for the families of police martyrs and the officials passed away in the line of duty, induction of 13,000 new head constables and construction of monument of Police Martyrs proved that Punjab government and the IGP were giving top priority to the welfare of police force.
