IDEAS from November 22
KARACHI: The biennially defence exhibition - 9th IDEAS will be held at Karachi Expo Centre from 22-25 November 2016, a senior official said.
Major General Agha Masood Akram, director general of Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) said the IDEAS has come a long way and attained the standard of high class defence exhibitions.
“In 9th IDEAS 2016, over 70 countries will participate,” he added.
In last exhibition, IDEAS-2014, around 338 (256 Foreign and 82 Pakistani) exhibitors and 85 delegations from 67 countries participated.
Moreover, international defence seminar is another important facet of IDEAS, where senior analysts will presents their researches and analysis, Akram said.
Pakistan's latest and state-of-the-art defence productions will also be presented in this show.
The foremost purpose of IDEAS is to act as stage for convergence of international and domestic exhibitors, international delegations, defence and security analysts and top level policy planners for creation of new opportunities and promotion of mutual cooperation in the field of defence. It is also an occasion for net-working and connectivity of defence industry for joint ventures.
