FIA arrest 3 human smugglers

GUJRANWALA: FIA teams Thursday arrested three human traffickers from Gujranwala, Gujrat and Sialkot.
Reportedly, the FIA teams arrested accused Sajjadul Hassan of Gujrat, Hafiz Dilawar of Sialkot and Muhammad Usman of Gujranwala on charges of sending people abroad through illegal documents. The FIA teams also recovered two Pakistani passports and a photocopy of Canada permit from Sajjadul Hassan.
ROBBERS CONTINUE LOOTING SPREE: Citizens were deprived of cash, gold ornaments, vehicles and other valuables in several areas of Gujranwala.
In Cantt area gunmen intercepted Mudassar and his wife and snatched gold ornaments, Rs 35,000 and two cellphones.
Saleem was robbed of Rs 35,000 and three cellphones in Sadr Kamoke police area.
In Gakhar bandits snatched Rs 20,000 and two cellphones from Imran.
Rashid was intercepted in Aroop area and was deprived of Rs 11,000, a motorcycle and two cellphones.
At Ferozewala gunmen took away Rs 22,000 and two cellphones from Sabir.
Abdul Qadir was robbed of Rs 7,000, a motorcycle and a cellphone in Cantt police area.
On Jinnah road dacoits snatched Rs 10,000 and a cellphone from Azeem.
Najeeb in Civil Lines area was deprived of a motorcycle, Rs 4,000 and a cellphone.
Thieves entered the houses of Nazim and Moazzam and took away valuables.
New motorcycle of Faheem was stolen from Model Town area. Police have registered cases.
ACE DIRECTOR SUMMONS DEPTS HEADS: Anti-Corruption Establishment Director Rana Abdul Shakoor Thursday summoned heads of various departments in connection with the misappropriation in funds. Reportedly, following directions of the DG ACE, corruption and misappropriation of funds cases were noticed during the audit of city district government, livestock, health, education, GDA, highway, roads and other departments. The director summoned the heads of relevant departments at his office on November 7 to identify elements behind funds misappropriation and corruption.
