HAFIZABAD: Vanike Tarar police booked four butchers on the charge of selling meat of donkeys.
Police received information that four butchers, including Arif and Iqbal, were slaughtering eight donkeys to sell meat at Lalke village. Following the information, police raided the village and seized the slaughtered donkeys. However, the accused managed to escape.
Meanwhile, the accused’s relatives denied the charge. They said that they slaughtered donkeys to sell their bones.
FOUR ROBBED: Three dacoits robbed four people of cash and valuables near Mohallah Muhammadpura on Thursday.
The dacoits intercepted Abu Bakar and snatched the motorcycle and Rs 1,500 from him. The dacoits also snatched the motorcycle and Rs 16,000 from Muhammad Sarwar, Rs 13,000 from Khizar Hayat and Rs 26,000 from Muhammad Saleem.
