Seven arrested, arms seized in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: The security forces and police on Wednesday arrested seven suspected persons and recovered huge cache of arms from them during a joint search operation in Shabqadar tehsil.A press release issued from the office of the district police officer stated that the security forces and police conducted a search operation in parts of Shabqadar tehsil late in the night. It said that the law-enforcers arrested seven suspected persons and recovered nine hand-grenades as many rifles, 13 SMGs, 23 pistols and hundreds of cartridges from them. The release said the police had conducted 31 search operations under the National Action Plan (NAP) and arrested 114 suspected persons during the month of October in Charsadda district.
