KARACHI: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has suspended KP Hockey Association secretary Zahir Shah.
PHF stated on Wednesday that it had taken a serious note of Zahir’s unwarranted activities in KP’s hockey affairs. It said a number of complaints had been received about his hindering the smooth conduct of hockey activities in the province.
PHF formed a disciplinary and scrutiny committee in line with its constitution to look into the matter.
As per the preliminary findings of the committee, Zahir Shah has been found involved in the violation of the PHF constitution, IOC Charter, National Sports Policy, and National Inter Club Tournament’s bylaws. Based on these findings, Zahir has been suspended from his offices of the secretary KP Hockey Association and Peshawar’s representative to the PHF.
