Corruption cases ordered against 13 officials

GUJRANWALA: The Anti-Corruption Establishment director on Monday ordered registration of cases against 13 government officials on the charges of corruption and misuse of power.
According to the ACE director order, cases will be registered against SHO Ibrar Haider, SIs Nasir Mehmood and Muhammad Younas, ASIs Muhammad Shafiq, Muhammad Akhtar, Shabbir Ahmad and Mazhar Ali, Local Government Secretary Rehan Amir, Muhammad Yasin, Khurshid Ahmad, Patwari Habibullah Khan and Muhammad Asif.
Meanwhile, arrest warrants have been issued for 10 officials. They are clerk Akram Raza, Consolidation Officer Mohabat Khan, Riaz Rehmani, Local Government Secretary Zahoor Ahmad, Pervez Ahmad, ASI Imran Ali, record keeper Arshad Mehmood and court reader Muhammad Rashid.
THREE HELD: The FIA teams arrested three accused, including a human trafficker, on different charges.
The FIA raided Pasrur and arrested alleged human trafficker Asif Jajja. The accused was involved in sending people abroad illegally. The FIA team arrested Munawar Iqbal from Mandi Bahauddin. He was allegedly involved in extorting money from the people after introducing himself as an officer of the German Embassy. Meanwhile, the FIA raided Lahore and arrested accused Mohsin. He was an employee of the Utility stores Corporation and was involved in misappropriation of funds.
