HANGU: The passing out parade of 396 police officers was held at the Police Training College (PTC) here on Friday.
Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Mian Muhammad Asif was the chief guest at the passing out parade. Senior police officers were also present. Speaking on the occasion, AIG Mian Muhammad Asif said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police force has become a role model for the rest of the country.
He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was professional force and rendered matchless sacrifices in war against terrorism. The official said that today’s police force was more democratic, accountable, professional and responsible than that of the British-era police.
He said that education and training were made essentials in the force, adding the reforms in police were yielding desired results.Later, the chief guest inaugurated the modern Health Care Centre and Durrani Computer Learning Centre established at the college with the financial support of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
