OKARA: A minority seat candidate was booked allegedly for threatening the Returning Officer on Thursday.
William Masih and his wife Shakila Masih filed nomination papers for minority seats. In the light of the directions of the Lahore High Court, the papers of William were rejected and his wife was qualified for the election.
William asked the RO Tariq Mahmood Paroya to allot his wife the symbol of lion, but the RO told him that the symbol was a permanent symbol of the PML-N and it can only be allotted after receiving the party ticket.
To hear this, William started using abusive language and threatened the RO. The police registered a case against William on the directions of the RO.
