Jhagra inaugurates Job Placement Centre for Fata youth
PESHAWAR: Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said the youth from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) are being equipped with skills and technical training in different trades.
He said the Fata Development Authority was carrying out the task. During the current year, he added, 9000 youth have availed this facility while another 10,801 have been provided loans under the self-Employment Programme.
He was formally inaugurating the newly constructed FDA’s building as well as the Job Placement Centre developed under the auspices of UNDP at Hayatabad on Wednesday.Additional Chief Secretary Fata, Fida Wazir, who is also working as the Chief Executive of FDA and Ms. Fredrica, the Country Representative of UNDP, were also present on the occasion besides a number of graduating students of the aforementioned programmes.The governor inspected stalls wherein artifacts prepared by trainees of electronics, mineral development, mechanical and energy sectors had been displayed.
