33 candidates allotted symbols for district council polls

CHAKWAL: Returning Officer Asim Javed Hashmi Wednesday allotted polls symbols to 33 candidates for 24 special seats of district council Chakwal.
Chairmen of 71 union councils of the district will exercise their votes on November 8th.
Reportedly, the PML-N candidates are likely to win 22 seats out of 24 with the support of the Sardar Ghulam Abbas group.
Ameer Abudl Khaliq with symbol of (lion), Ameer Gulistan (lion), Tehmina Mustafa (lion), Suraiya Begum (bicycle), Samina Khizar (bat), Humaira Mahmood (lion), Zahida Batool (pressure cooker), Saadia Ikram (lion), Shaista Khanum (lion), Zil-e-Huma (lion), Ansar Yasmeen (lion), Ghazala Parveen (lion), Ghazala Safdar (lion), Ghulam Zahra (lion), Fareeda Khanum (diamond), Kalsoom Akhtar (almirah), Kalsoom Mushtaq (lion), Misbah Mushtaq (lion), Naseem Akhtar (lion), Nayyar Fiaz (lion) are contesting for 15 women seats.
Feroze Khan with symbol (electric heater), Muhammad Saleem Raza (lion), Muhammad Irfan (lion) and Malik Iqrar Haider (energy Saver) are contesting for three seats of peasants.
Abu Bakar Saeed with symbol of (suit case) and Chaudhry Haseeb Tasawwar Minhas are contesting for one seat of youth.
Amjad Iqbal with symbol of (lion), Khalid Maseeh (ice cream), Ravindar Kumar (lion), Saleem Akhtar Gill (lion) and Farrukh Sayar (lion) are contesting on four seats of non-Muslims.
Amjad Bashir Mirza with the symbol of (lion) and Zaheer Aslam Malik (bicycle) are contesting for one seat of technocrat.
In the meantime, RO Municipal Committee Chakwal Sabir Hussain Bhatti declared five women unopposed for five seats.
He announced the names of Alya Yasmeen, Ghulam Fatima, Gulshan Nisa and Safia Iqbal, and Javeria Abdul Rauf.
Aneeq Iftikhar was also declared unopposed for one seat of youth.
Asif Maseeh with symbol of (lion), Salamat Maseeh Gill (lion) and Nasir Gill are contesting on two non-Muslims seats.
Khawaja Khawar Haneef with symbol of (lion), Sultan Sikandar Awan (lion) and Muhammad Rafee (bat) are contesting for two workers seats of MC Chakwal.
The polling is scheduled on November 10th where 37 councilors of MC Chakwal will cast their votes.
