Laptops distributed among NUML students

The laptop distribution ceremony for National University of Modern Languages (NUML) students under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme phase-II, was held on Monday.

Rector NUML Major General Zia ud Din Najam (retd) was the chief guest of the ceremony while Director Administration NUML Brig (r) Zia ul Hassan Sahi, registrar, deans, directors, heads of departments and large number of students were also present on the occasion.

Chief guest Rector NUML Zia ud Din Najam in his speech termed that it is great initiative of the government to give laptops to the students. “We are lacking behind in information technology sector as compared to the rest of the world and it is duty of our youth to take advantages of the facilities provided by the government.”

Rector said that the youth is the real asset of the country and future of Pakistan lies in the hands of young generation as today’s youth will lead the country in future and a great responsibility lies on their shoulder. 

Under this initiative, 1,308 laptops were distributed among the students in which 808 laptops were for main campus and 500 laptops were distributed among the students of regional campuses of NUML.
