Sanghar DC skips PAC meeting
The chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of the Sindh Assembly, Saleem Raza Jalbani, has said that he will do correspondence with the chief minister and the chief secretary of the province to take due disciplinary action against the deputy commissioner of the Sanghar district for opting to skip Monday’s session of the committee.
The PAC chairman, who is an MPA of the Pakistan Peoples Party, adjourned the proceedings after the Sanghar deputy commissioner did turn up.
The meeting had been convened to consider audit paras concerning an audit report on the accounts of the district administration for the financial year 2010-11.
It was said that the deputy commissioner opted not to attend the PAC session due to the launch of an anti-polio immunisation campaign for children in the district.
