Schools given two-day deadline for making security arrangements From Our Correspondent MULTAN: Police have given a two-day deadline to all educational institutions for making foolproof security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident. Addressing the heads of educational institutions here on Wednesday, CPO Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry said that the security measures included elevation of boundary wall and appointment of trained security guards. He said that police had also decided to conduct scrutiny of all staffers and issued instructions to the school heads in this regard. After the December 16 tragedy, the provincial government was fully focused on security of Punjab and in this connection, it was holding meetings on daily basis to review security arrangements, he added. He directed the school heads to hire female security guards for body search of women visiting schools. He said that the terrorists were not Pakistanis because they were determined to sabotage the country. The terrorists wanted to impose their philosophy of massacre on peaceful people, he added. Heads of the Bahauddin Zakariya University, Army Public School, Multan Dental College and other educational institutions attended the meeting.
