HANGU: Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel on Saturday said that inexpensive and speedy justice to people was the priority of the judiciary.He was speaking at an event after inaugurating the work on the Judicial Complex in Babar Mela here.
Additional and Sessions Judge Hangu Rafiullah, Deputy Commissioner Ihsanullah, Deputy Inspector General of Police Fasihuddin, Assistant Political Agent Orakzai Agency Iqbal Khan Wazir, president District Bar Association Hangu Hassan Ahmad Khan and others were present on the occasion.
The chief justice said that that dispensation of speedy justice to people was the need of the hour. He said that malpractices in judiciary had been eliminated and the relationship between the bar and bench was improved.
He said that 103 civil judges and 25 additional civil judges were being appointed to address the issue of shortage of judges in the province.The chief justice said that it was his top most priority to set up a family court and an anti-terrorism court in Hangu.
He added that the Judicial Complex was being constructed over 30 kanal of land, adding, he would try to secure another 41 kanal of land for the Judicial Complex. He said Judicial Complexes would be established gradually in all the districts of the province.
