Rescue 1122 urged to maintain standard
LAHORE
The founding director general of Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, Dr Rizwan Naseer, after his return to Rescue 1122 after over a year, gave his first address to all officers of the headquarters and rescuers of Lahore district on Friday.
He said that Lahore was the heart of Pakistan and it was extremely important to maintain standards of the service in all districts especially in Lahore.
He said that he had returned to the service only to ensure the standard of this life-saving emergency service established after great efforts and sacrifice.
Dr Rizwan Naseer said that Rescue 1122 had set new standard for service delivery and was an integrated emergency management model for all other provinces and the SAARC region.
He said that Rescue 1122's ambulance, rescue and fire services must ensure the standards set by the pioneers of Rescue 1122.
The director general said that the service structure was expected to be approved by the end of this year and the government had also approved the replacement of old ambulances of Lahore.
kite-flying: The CCPO has directed all divisional SPs and other officers concerned to ensure implementation of the ban imposed on kite-flying. He also directed them to take stern action against the wheelie-doer.
He warned that the SHO concerned would be held responsible if any violation was observed in this regard.
Man dies: A man died and three others sustained injuries when a car overturned after its tyre burst near Shamkay Bhattian, Manga Mandi, on Friday.
Rescuers shifted the victims to hospital where the car driver, identified as Aslam, was pronounced dead. The condition of the other injured, identified as Saleem, Lateef and Boota, was stated to be stable.
exam: Intermediate Supplementary Examination 2016 by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore, will be started today.
According to a BISE spokesperson, 35,395 candidates will appear in the exam, including 14,960 girl students.
