RPO takes notice of child death

BAHAWALPUR: New Bahawalpur Regional Police Officer Muhammad Idrees Ahmad Thursday took a serious notice of the incident in which a child was killed in a celebratory firing at Khanpur, district Rahimyar Khan. He sought a report from DSP Khanpur Jamshed Ali Shah. The RPO directed DPOs of Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar and Bahawalpur to take effective measures to prevent firing to protect lives of the innocent people.
He appreciated police officials of police stations civil lines, Kotwali and Zahir Peer to eradicate menace of narcotic drugs in their respective areas.
THREE ILLEGAL BLOOD BANKS SEALED: Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur city Rao Tasleem Akhtar sealed three blood transfusion banks and arrested four people for running the centres at Bahawalpur City. The AC also recovered fake stamps of Bahawal Victoria Hospital, fake medicines, and other equipment from the centres. Kotwali police registered a case against the owners of these blood banks.
ROBBERS KILL SALESMAN: Robbers shot dead a salesman of a company in a dacoity bid on Thursday.Zafar Iqbal, salesman of a beverage company, was intercepted by robbers near Bahawalnagar on Arifwala Road and when he put up resistance the robbers shot him dead.
