Steps to be taken to check dengue larvae: DCO

GUJRANWALA: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Amir Jaan Wednesday said the government was vigilant and all possible measures would be employed to check dengue larvae.
Addressing a meeting held to review the anti-dengue steps, the DCO said all segments of society have been engaged to raise awareness in the public about the dengue fever.
He said due to a change in weather a rise is being witnessed in dengue patients in some districts of the province and the dengue menace would be combated with collective approaches with the help of citizens.
The DCO directed authorities of all hospital to pay special attention to patients of any fever and handle them in a proper way to diagnose the dengue symptoms.
He asked heads of all departments to utilise all available resources to eradicate the disease. He urged them to remove standing water, carry out spray of indoors and outdoors, conduct daily door-to-door surveillance and improve drainage system in the district.
