How to treat teachers
By our correspondents

Teachers are considered assets of the state in developed countries. But, in Pakistan the situation is opposite. From salary to other work-related benefits, the situation is rather dismal in private schools. Every year, the management of schools increase tuition fee of students but when it comes to salary increments they hesitate to do anything.
The Private Schools Management Association (PSMA) is requested to keep a check on the policies of schools. The salary structure should be same in all schools according to teacher’s qualification and experience. A yearly increment should be offered to teachers. Teachers should be allowed to take a break during lectures. By taking these measures the PSMA can do better for teachers.
