ZTBL, State Bank record nine-wicket triumphs
KARACHI: ZTBL thrashed HEC and State Bank overpowered PCB XI by nine wickets in one-sided affairs in Benazir Bhutto Women’s Cricket Championship on Tuesday at Lahore Country Club in Muridke.
HEC batted first against ZTBL and put on board 82-6 in 20 overs. Fazila Ikhlaq top scored for the side with 44 runs off 57 balls. Sadia Khaliq scored 21 not out off 40 balls. Aliya Riaz and Maham Tariq took two wickets each.
ZTBL easily reached the target in 12.1 overs with nine wickets in hand. Nahida Bibi (32 not out) and Bisma Maroof (27 not out) batted well for the winners.
PCB XI posted 91-7 against State Bank in 20 overs. Areeb Shamim top scored for the side with 23 runs off 41 balls. Asmavia Iqbal took two wickets.
State Bank reached the target in 16.5 overs losing only one wicket. Iram Khan scored unbeaten 48 off 45 balls. Asmavia scored unbeaten 26 off 38 balls.
