Rulers to be responsible if democracy harmed: Siraj
From Our Correspondent
MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq has said that the rulers will be responsible in case of any damage to the democracy as their poor performance is forcing the masses to take to the streets.
Addressing a condolence reference for JI local ameer Saifullah Chohan at Dhok Kasib village, Siraj said: “There is no threat to democracy, but the rulers are creating an environment in the country, which will harm the system.” He further said: “Unfortunately, the country politics is hijacked by a group of grabbers and the current rulers are part of it. Now, the nation is united to bring all politicians to book since independence.” The JI ameer said that the rulers had failed to present themselves for accountability on the Panama Leaks. He said that the month of October was important in terms of national politics. He said that the Jamaat-e-Islami would organise rallies against corruption in Peshawar on October 23 and in Karachi on October 30.
