PM to launch health insurance card
scheme in RY Khan on 19th

BAHAWALPUR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will arrive in Rahimyar Khan on October 19. During his visit, the prime minister will launch the health insurance card scheme for the poor in a function at the Sheikh Zayed Hospital auditorium. After the launch of the scheme, the poor would be able to avail health services up to Rs 350,000 in private hospitals.

Woman poisoned to death by husband, daughter

BAHAWALPUR: A woman was allegedly poisoned to death by her husband and daughter at Chak 42, Bilalpur, near Chishtian on Sunday.
According to Chishtian Sadr police, Muhammad Yasin said that his 40-year-old sister Nasreen Bibi had contracted second marriage with Abdul Wahid after the death of her first husband Ghulam Hussain.
Later, Abdul Wahid allegedly developed illicit relations with Nasreen’s 18-year-old daughter Ayesha from her first husband. On the day of the incident, Wahid and Ayesha allegedly poisoned Nasreen Bibi to death. The police have started investigation after shifting the body to a hospital for autopsy.
