PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said developing tourism in Chitral is one of the top priorities of his government.
He said that the tourism in Chitral valley would be promoted on the pattern of Galiyat that would create employment opportunities and would generate funds which would be diverted for welfare and development of the district. Talking to a delegation of Chitral led by Member Provincial Assembly Fauzia Bibi at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Peshawar, he said he would visit the district very soon.
Pervez Khattak said that 80 percent funds had already been released to the district governments with the sole purpose to ensure development at grassroots level as per needs and aspirations of the people. “It is now up to the elected representatives to work hard, monitor the developmental schemes and ensure its quality and completion within deadline,” he added. He said that his government evolved a comprehensive strategy to generate additional resources and determined to put the province on the path of progress and prosperity. “We are committed to ensure development at grassroots level,” he added.
